ABOUT

Clark Swanson is an American entrepreneur operating at the intersection of healthtech, artificial intelligence, life sciences, fintech, and energy infrastructure. As the Chief Executive Officer of Engineered Energy, he is leading the development of next-generation infrastructure for high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence workloads, and large-scale power systems. This work builds on his prior success as Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer of Blockcap, which he scaled to become the world’s largest bitcoin mining enterprise by hashrate and which was acquired in 2021 in a $4.6 billion transaction with Core Scientific (Nasdaq: CORZ), valuing his company at $1.46 billion USD.

In parallel with his infrastructure work, Mr. Swanson has been deeply involved in advancing healthtech and life sciences innovation. In 2018, he co-founded Flavocure Biotech, Inc., serving as Vice Chairman, where the company developed novel cancer therapies in collaboration with Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University. This work led to statistically significant results across multiple cancer types and contributed to an Investigational New Drug (IND) pathway and approval for human clinical trials. His philanthropy continues to be centered on high-impact drug development and discovery, particularly in pioneering new cancer therapies, including the Swanson Plante Protocol (“SPP”) which was developed in collaboration with research scientists and physicians from the Mayo Clinic and Harvard Medical School.  Mr. Swanson is a co-founding member of the Harvard Medical School Phytomedicine Institute and  initiatives including the Global Phytomedicine Institute (GPI), the Global Oncology University, and the Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Cloud (C4)—an AI-powered platform designed to expand access to cancer research, education, and care globally.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Swanson co-founded and served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Blackline Safety, which was recognized as one of Canada’s top technology startups and achieved a valuation of approximately $500 million, earning accolades including IDC’s “Top 10 to Watch,” TSX 50, Profit 500, and Deloitte Fast 500.

In addition to his commercial ventures, Mr. Swanson is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Swanson Calderon Foundation, which supports initiatives in mental health, wellness, and the development of scalable, technology-enabled care solutions. He is also the founder of Halo Beauty, a consumer wellness brand that reached nine-figure valuation and surpassed one million units sold in less than two years.
