Clark Swanson is an American entrepreneur focused on consumer products, new media, life sciences, cleantech and energy. Mr. Swanson is currently the Chief Executive Officer of a new mining start-up, Engineered Energy, a company focused on mining infrastructure power and high performance computing (“HPC”). He is also the founder of Halo Beauty which successfully surpassed a watermark of 1 million units sold and was valued at over $100 million in 2019, only 2 years after its incorporation. 

More recently, Mr. Swanson was the co-founder and CEO of Blockcap, a bitcoin mining enterprise which boasted 55,000 machines and was the largest mining enterprise in the world valued at $2.2 billion USD.  In 2021, the company was acquired by Core Scientific (Nasdaq: CORZ) for $1.46 billion USD. 

In the mid-2000’s Swanson gained notoriety as Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Blackline Safety, named one of Canada’s top 50 technology start-ups. Under his leadership the company achieved nearly $500 million in valuation and garnered numerous accolades, including IDC’s “Top 10 to Watch”, TSX 50, Profit 500, and Deloitte’s Fast 500. 

In 2018, Mr. Swanson co-founded and was Vice Chairman of Flavocure Biotech, Inc.  The company launched groundbreaking cancer research and drug discovery studies at Harvard Medical School.  Using nano-drone drug delivery technology, the company achieved statistically significant results in vivo with pancreatic, brain, and blood cancers. These studies resulted in an Investigational New Drug approval by the FDA and approval for human clinical trials.

During the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, Mr. Swanson co-authored a patent which served as the backbone for the development and testing of novel SARS-Cov-2 therapeutics. These efforts were recognized by the scientific community and which research was published in several leading medical journals.

Today, Mr. Swanson is focused on disruptive innovation in the consumer markets, philanthropy and raising his 4 children in Henderson, Nevada.

EDUCATION

Mr. Swanson studied at Pepperdine University, graduating in 1995 with a degree in economics. He went on to pursue his Master’s in Business Administration from the Graziadio School of Business & Management where he graduated with distinction in 2003.
